To send a private message to a family member in your FamilyVault network, follow these steps:
1. Login to your FamilyVault account.
2. Click the message icon on the top right corner of the page.
3. Click the blue "Compose" button.
4. Enter the name of the family member in your network that you wish to contact. All matching names in your network will show up in a dropdown menu. Select the name of the recipient, then enter your message and click "Send Message".
Note: If the name does not show up, it means that the family member is not already in your network. You can only send an internal message to a family member who is already in your network. If the family member is not in your network, you must invite him/her to join your network first before you can use FamilyVault to send private messages to that individual. To invite a family member to your FamilyVault network, login to your FamilyVault account, click "Home" then click "Share Tree" to send an invitation by email.
